Welcome to our new site. It has been designed to be a centre of information, news and interesting fishing chit-chat. We will cater to all fly-fishers-trout fishermen who fish still waters, and those who fish moving water of all speeds, the salmon and sea trout enthusiasts and the ever increasing band of salt-water fishers who are finding that a week away on the flats of a tropical paradise during our winter has its attractions. We won’t forget those who fish for the lady of the stream, the grayling.
We will introduce fly-fishers to a selection of on-line shops so that all tackle and equipment needs will be catered for and during the course of the year flag up all those special offers we feel should be evaluated.
We will cater for fly fishermen who are experienced and those who have just began to enjoy the delights.
We will introduce our visitors to the latest books on fly-fishing, and to all the fishing holidays, flights, etc. We will have our fishing available section (if you own fishing this is free!) and our lastminuterod section for the salmon and sea trout brethren (this is also free to fishery owners). We have a good selection of clothing for all weathers.
For all of you who would actually prefer to work at a fishery we will have a weekly report from Andy Murray who is a ghillie boatman on the Tweed plus a casting champion and also a report from Stephen Brown who is a river keeper on the Test. Both will report throughout the closed season so you can get a feel of what they do then! We will also get reports from Europe from our French correspondent, Thierry Millot, who runs special fishing trips to hotspots on the mainland. We will also get reports from Vincent McDonnell who is a ghillie on the Moy at Foxford in County Mayo.
Please send us anything you feel should be shared with fellow enthusiasts to be featured on our fly-fishers notice-board.
